Abstract: For the area with complex geological environment, the formation mechanism and main control factors of landslides in different regions are obviously different. It is unreliable to use the same evaluation factor and weight to evaluate the susceptibility of different regions. In view of this, taking the Nanzhang County as an example, nine evaluation factors including slope height, slope gradient, formation lithology, overburden thickness, faulted structure, slope structure, water system density, road density and house density were selected and analyzed, and three different areas were divided according to the differences in geological environment. Then, based on the ArcGIS software, soil landslides and rock landslides in different area were evaluated by analytic hierarchy process(AHP),and the landslide susceptibility zoning map of the study area was obtained through weighted summation that took the percentage of two kinds landslides as weights. Finally, by comparing with the results of unzoning landslide susceptibility, the results show that the susceptibility results based on geologically environment zoning are more reliable, and the locations of high susceptibility areas are more consistent with the known landslide hazards. The research is beneficial to refining the evaluation of regional geological hazards, and the proposed method has strong practicability.
