Abstract: Ecological value assessment is of great significance to the construction of ecological civilization. To improve the ecological value assessment of water environment management project, we divide water environment treatment projects into two ecosystems, namely river and lake program and green space program, and establish an ecological value assessment system for water environment treatment projects from five perspectives: soil protection, water conservation, carbon sequestration and oxygen release, air purification, and species conservation. Then we use the system to assess the ecological value of the water environment management project in Pingyu County, Henan Province. The results showed that the total ecological value of the water environment treatment project in Pingyu County in 2020 was 101 million CNY. The quantitative assessment of the ecological value can provide a basis for the economic evaluation of the project and provide a reference for the ecological value assessment of water environment management projects in the future.
