Abstract:

The shortage of power supply has greatly restricted the development of Cambodia's society and economy. In combination with the actual situation in Cambodia, the present electric power and power grid construction situation are introduced, and the reason for inhibiting electric power supply and high electricity price are also analyzed. Accordingly, a series of improvement measures and suggestions are put forward, including adjusting the existing electricity pricing mechanism, promoting rainy season hydropower exports, balancing hydropower use and improving power grid management level. The experience and measures can be used as reference in the power construction of similar countries and regions.
