Abstract: In order to effectively solve the difficult problem of multi-attribute complex decision-making in urban water supply schemes, taking the Longhu Yellow River Water Diversion Project in Zhengzhou City as an example, a VlseKriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje method (VIKOR) was proposed to optimize the schemes. By comparing it with other methods, when the decision coefficients in the VIKOR method were 0.2, 0.5, and 0.8 respectively, the obtained optimal water supply scheme was the same as that obtained by the improved close value method and was consistent with the actual engineering implementation scheme. In particular, when the decision coefficient was 0.8, the consistency of the scheme results obtained by the VIKOR method and the improved close value method was 83.3%, which indicated that it is feasible to apply the VIKOR method to the urban water supply scheme optimization. The method has the characteristics of simple principle, stable result and high resolution and has a wide range of application scenarios in the optimization and evaluation of hydraulic engineering schemes in the future.
