Abstract: The evaluation of ecological revetment is of great guiding significance to the practice of ecological revetment. It can give full play to the flood control benefits, ecological benefits, landscape benefits and self-purification benefits of ecological revetment, and provide support for the sustainable and healthy development of river ecosystems.Through conducting on-the-spot investigations on ecological revetment of river courses in Shanghai City, and combining domestic and foreign researches on ecological revetment research, the evaluation criteria and evaluation methods of ecological revetment effects are summarized and determined.Starting from three aspects of structure, ecology and functionality, 15 indicators are selected to build an evaluation index system. The comprehensive index evaluation method based on the analytic hierarchy process and the TOPSIS evaluation method based on the entropy weight method are used to evaluate the effect of the built ecological revetment in Shanghai City. The results show that the bank slope stability, water permeability, and erosion resistance are the main factors that affect the ecological revetment effects. The effect of ecological revetment such as(imitated)wooden pile revetment, piled stone revetment, permeable block retaining wall is better. The results can provide reference for the ecological revetment construction adopted in the river course remediation in the future.
