Abstract: Sharing is one of the five new development concepts of China in the new era.The core of hydropower project migrants is how to balance the distribution of benefits.Some countries have accumulated valuable experiences in benefits sharing.Ethnic areas of southwest China are increasingly becoming the main battleground for hydropower development, which are characterized by ecological fragility, cultural sensitivity and population poverty.Benefit sharing rather than relief assistance can be the fundamental guarantee for sustainable livelihood of hydropower project migrants.Based on the analysis of the current situation of benefit sharing of immigrants in China, we introduce and summarize the methods of benefit sharing of immigrants in some representative countries.Then we put forward some optimization suggestions on the way, object and legal protection of benefit sharing of hydropower project migrants in China in the future, so as to actively and steadily promote the work of benefit sharing of hydropower project migrants, and achieve mutual consultation, co-construction and win-win situation.
