Abstract:

Taking the debris flow of Ya′erbaxi gully in Akqi County, Xinjiang Region on 19th, September, 2010 as an example, the characteristics of the debris flow is analyzed and the formation mechanism is studied by field survey and indoor calculation. The harnessing plan of retaining plus silting and consolidation is put forward aiming at the features of the debris flow source in this area and silting characteristics in the downstream gully. The major measures includes the construction of sand-sediment dam and silting and consolidation field etc.. The results can provide reference for the analysis and prevention of the debris flow in mountainous area of southern Xinjiang region.
