Abstract: At present,social security resettlement plays an increasingly important role in the resettlement of large and medium-sized reservoirs in Zhejiang Province. There is even a trend to replace the traditional agricultural resettlement,which is closely related with the special physical-geographical characteristics and the social-economic development situation of Zhejiang Province. Starting from the background and policy basis of social security resettlement in Zhejiang Province,this paper analyzed the resettlement willingness,implementation advantages and disadvantages of this resettlement method. The analysis results show that social security resettlement is not a panacea,and it is necessary to analyze the applicability of social security resettlement,namely whether it has a solid real economy as the foundation,and consider the livelihood recovery and long-term and stable development of immigrants. At the same time,we should also respect the wishes of immigrant and realize the independent choice of resettlement mode under the leadership of the government.
