Abstract: After resettlement, migrants’ living environment and infrastructure conditions have obviously been improved. However, due to the restriction of natural, social, economic environment and the ability of migrants themselves, migrants face many difficulties in becoming rich. Therefore, studying the thoughts and methods of follow-up support is important in helping migrants to get rid of poverty and promote the economic and social development of the reservoir area. On the basis of analyzing the follow-up support plan of the Three Gorges project and its practice, this paper discusses the object, content, measures, ways of raising funds and the time of follow-up support to provide a reference for promoting resettlement planning of water conservancy and hydropower projects and long-term development of migrants.
