Abstract: In order to study the quantitative relationship between urbanization and ecological civilization construction in the central China, and promote the benign interactive development between the two subsystems, the evaluation index system consisting of the two subsystems were established respectively, and the comprehensive scores of each subsystem were calculated by using entropy method. The coordinated development model was used to calculate the coordinated development degree of each province from 2008 to 2015. The results showed that the coordinated development degree of urbanization and ecological civilization construction in the central China increased from 2008 to 2015, in which Hubei Province increased the most, 66.24%; Shanxi Province increased the least, 30.08%. From the relative situation of the two subsystems, the synchronous development degree between the two items needed to be improved. The research results can provide reference for the future development direction of urbanization and ecological civilization construction in the central China.
