Abstract:

In the construction management of hydropower project, the measurement and valuation for over-excavation and under-excavation are often the key disputable points of all related parties. In related standardized contract and code, the regulations on over-excavation and under-excavation measurement and valuation are often macroscopic and their feasibility is inadequate. This paper analyzes the common disputes about the measurement and valuation for over-excavation and under-excavation in practice and presents the adaptability and key management points under different contract terms. Reasonably setting contract terms and strengthening control on key management points could reduce the disputes in the measurement and valuation process of over-excavation and under-excavation. 
