Abstract: During the land requisition for Wudongde dam, a large hydropower projects China, an extensive amount of lands and houses were occupied and flooded, and more than thirty thousands of residents were relocated. In order to reduce its impacts on environment, and ensure a favorable living conditions for the immigrants, we took a resettlement site, Jiangbian town as an example, to analyze the adverse impacts on ecological environment by site construction. The results indicate that the regional environment protection measures should include ecological protection, domestic sewage treatment and waste disposal, which can help resettlement communities develop towards the "new socialist countryside".
