Abstract: Ecuador in South America enjoys a privileged geographical location, where the water resources are abundant but with uneven distribution. The existed problems such as mismatch of water resources and socio-economic development, frequent occurrence of flood and drought that affect the people's lives severely, shortage of irrigation water, together with disorder discharge of polluted water all have been aggravating the water supply. To resolve the problems above, the water administrator entrusted the author's company to undertake the National Integrated Planning of River Basins in Ecuador. During the planning, the Chinese specifications and standards were promoted by comparing with other sets of standards, and the informatization technology was applied in the whole process, which was helpful to raising the level of planning, and also the talent team had accumulated experiences of foreign water projects.
